Read more below about Kyle, his winning photo, and how him and his buddies get ready for the snowboarding season. Quite the setup!
The photo was taken in my yard about 4 years ago. It was my first year ever snowboarding. That day we received less than a quarter of an inch of accumulated snow. Most people would not even consider it snow, but my friends and I saw opportunity. We all rounded up shovels and began the tedious process of shoveling my 400-foot driveway. After an hour, we had enough snow for one narrow path. That’s all we needed to hit our makeshift natural log rail. And the session began!
To prepare for upcoming seasons, my friends and I always set up boxes and rails at my house and make our own private rail garden. Just this past summer, my friends and I invested in a summer set up to practice. We built a sketchy platform with AstroTurf on top that led to a rail. We poured dish soap and a garden hose over the turf to mimic the physical consistency of snow. It wasn’t the best, but anything close worked on a summer day.
*the astroturf setup* the little black dog looks thrilled!!!

Snow is falling, resorts are opening and Rabbit has reduced prices on many items over the past week. Check them out now!
Cheers!
